Forced Circulation Evaporators

Buflovak Forced Circulation (FC) Evaporators use a high efficiency circulating pump designed for large volumes and sufficient head to provide the force for evaporation. These evaporators deliver a controlled temperature rise and temperature difference and guarantee optimum heat transfer tube velocities. With a high rate of heat transfer, rapid evaporation and high concentration is achieved without requiring high operating temperatures or large heating surfaces.

Product Details

Forced Circulation Evaporators are recommended for heat-sensitive materials and viscous, scaling, salting and crystal producing liquids. Since the liquid is only heated in the steam chest with flashing taking place in the separator and no boiling taking place within the tubes, fouling on hot tube walls is reduced.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Forced Circulation Evaporator

High-efficiency circulating pump design ensures controlled velocities through the tubes for optimal heat transfer rates.
Operates with extremely low temperature differences for precise control.
Steam chest heating design with flashing in the separator without boiling in the tubes reduces or eliminates tube wall fouling.
Readily accessible tubes for cleaning and inspection.
Forced circulation technology provides maximum recovery of solids and can be used for viscous liquids or suspensions and slurries that are prone to scaling.
Horizontal or vertical steam chest design for a wide variety of applications.

Forced Circulation Evaporators may be equipped with either vertical or horizontal steam chests. The circulating pump withdraws liquid from the lower part of the vapor-liquid separator and circulates it through the tubes at a high velocity. Boiling is suppressed in the tubes either by liquid head or an orifice plate. The heated liquid is discharged into the separator where the vapor flashes off due to the temperature difference and is removed through the top outlet. The liquid is discharged at a maintained liquid level.
